Crosby & Nash came about after CSN & CSNY. They were good but never great. The songwriting was average and the tunes were as well. This album isn’t much to go into other than a few songs. The album is old and choppy but has that record pop I love so much.
This is true folk singing in the way it was meant to be. Two white guys complaining about the world, slowly and peacefully. “Immigration Man” is a song about the US Customs, which still has plenty meaning today. Maybe we can get a Kanye remix of it?
Nothing spectacular is on either side of these records. Until you get to the end with “Deja Vu.” A 9 minute version of the song David Crosby personally wrote for CSNY. A great song but nothing like most on the ‘Deja Vu’ album. Looking forward to some addition of Nash after this record.
